The essential information
Send the belt material, construction, width and thickness. If the belt has a designation or data sheet, include it. For a press inquiry, provide the intended splice drawing and the power supply available at the site.
Define the scope
- Equipment or component required.
- Quantity of each item.
- Belt and joint details, with a drawing if available.
- Voltage, phase and frequency for electrical equipment.
- Destination country and city or port.
- Preferred delivery timing and any inspection requirements.
For replacement components
Include the existing manufacturer, model and part number. Provide overall photographs and close-ups of connections, plus measured dimensions. State whether you need an equivalent replacement or a different configuration.
For materials, tools and fasteners
Supply the item list and the belt application. Material inquiries should reference the approved splice specification. Fastener inquiries should include belt thickness and the smallest pulley diameter, where known.
What if some details are missing?
Send what you have and say which items are unknown. It is better to identify a missing dimension than to fill it with an estimate. We can discuss what else is needed to define the quotation.
This guide supports purchasing discussions. Model specifications and operating procedures must be confirmed in the applicable manufacturer documentation.
