Conveyor belt splicing materials
Source jointing raw materials with the belt specification and splicing method clearly identified.
Match the material system to the belt
The right question is not simply which material is available. It is which material is specified for the joint you need to make. Share the belt supplier’s material list so that the offered items can be reviewed against it.
Make the quotation specific
Include the material description, dimensions or packaging unit, quantity and any required shelf-life documentation. Where a technical data sheet or safety data sheet is required, include that in the inquiry.
Keep the splice specification together
Preparation, materials and processing conditions belong to the same approved procedure. A general product description should not be used as a substitute for the belt manufacturer’s splicing instructions.
What to include in your inquiry
| Selection detail | What to confirm |
|---|---|
| Belt identification | Send the belt manufacturer, designation, reinforcement type and cover compound if known. |
| Material requirement | List the exact materials in the approved splice specification, together with quantities. |
| Compatibility | Provide the technical data or material codes for the existing system. Compatibility needs confirmation. |
| Storage and shipment | State the destination, required delivery date and any applicable storage or transport conditions. |
