Start with the belt material
Rubber conveyor belts and thermoplastic PVC or PU belts should not be treated as interchangeable equipment applications. Identify the belt material and the manufacturer’s specified joining method before choosing a machine.
Compare the intended process
A rubber belt hot-splicing inquiry should include the construction and approved splice design. A PVC or PU belt inquiry should include the thermoplastic belt designation, thickness and required joint geometry. In both cases, use the belt supplier’s procedure to define the process requirements.
Check preparation equipment too
The press does not define the entire jointing workflow. Include any preparation tools or accessories needed for the chosen joint. Request a separate list of included items when comparing machine offers.
Do not transfer settings between belts
Temperature, pressure and timing must come from the applicable belt and equipment instructions. A setting used for a different material or belt construction is not a reliable starting specification.
Prepare the right inquiry
For both categories, send the material, belt dimensions, joint drawing, electrical supply and working environment. These details make it possible to discuss the correct equipment group and configuration.
